@duaneafields I've had loads of 55-57 chevys and never once did a speedometer stick.. Probably just needs to be taken apart and lubed up. The old grease drys up.

Makes good sense. Speedo should work with a car at that price, I suppose I like mine stuck above 70. If it were stuck at 30 then, yes, a definite fix! He did fix it before selling, that's good. See, I thought this was this man's only classic car and I was like don't sell it, then I see dozens of classics in a shop, so this is just a hobby/lifestyle thing. Glad to see his car go and drive and not sit pretty.

When that kind of money is being asked for an unoriginal 50+ year old car, I think it not unreasonable for there to be at the VERY least, "Attention to OBVIOUS detail" I mean C'mon man... I know we live in a nation that buys $5 cups of coffee and spends exuberant amounts of money on chinese sweatshop made designer clothing, but the fucking speedometer should have been fixed. PERIOD.

dude, if you knew chevy's the speedometer's always stick. Mine is at 72mph always.

Whats that?.. One of those custom 30mph speedometers? When you want 50 grand for a car, you need to make sure that stuff is right. Gee, makes me wonder what other "minor" details were missed? 50k, no thanks.
