Somewhere, out there, sits a Roadrunner with 15000 miles on it, in a barn, under a tarp, behind a John Deere tractor, and I'm aimin' to get it!

OK Enjoy yourself and take it easy. If that figure is wrong, then I'm not the one B.S. ing. Is that straight?

@F6HemiCharger Hi there. Hopefully you're not telling me to "get a life," because I'm not arguing with anyone. I was having a pleasant conversation with several people here, that's all. It's like when you go to a car show and b.s. w/people, same thing. I just think it's funny when people say things like "Oh, a stock street hemi was ACTUALLY 650hp because we supertuned one once." It's just funny to me, because it's simply not true. So, have a nice day! :D

F6HemiCharger@green fruitface This is part 2:I can't speak for myself to ensure those figures are true but it seems you have a problem with the seller of this one Charger. One final closing thought, I looked at the bottom of my comment page and show you picking arguments and instigating disagreements with others, so if all you want to to is p*** people off..."GET A LIFE"!!!

@greenfruitface Well this ACTUALLY was in a '69 C500 that was for sale once, it was tuned to better that stock performance but had no engine mods what so ever. Did you note that the hp rating I said was at 6000rpm. The stock rating is 425hp at 5000rpm, which we all know was low-balled.

@greenfruitface True, the hood and fenders were fiber glass and the interiors were stripped down. And yes they were the race Hemi's but they were pump gas and they were street legal and you could go into a dealership to purchase either the Cuda or Dart SS without being a drag racer fro Mopar unlike GM or Ford.

@Boredout454 Yeah, the Super Stock Darts and Barracudas were very lightweight, and came with a race Hemi, not a street hemi. They ran 10's. Now those same cars are running mid 8's. Yes.....mid-8's, at 155mph. They are NO WHERE near what we think of as "stock" though. Ray Barton Super Stock (legal) NHRA Hemi engines are making just a hair over 1,000hp on the dyno, and are 438ci (426 bored .060 over). Pretty amazing. They resemble a 70's prostocker more than anything, to me.

@Boredout454 Well my hats off to you, you beat my best on my pure stock 6bbl by 75 or 80hp.

@middsteve They arent the original carbs, repo's, installed some better internal parts and been tested and tuned to get the maximum cfm. You did get the header part right?

@Boredout454 What was not stock about the carbs?

@middsteve has headers and its been tuned but other then that yup.

@Boredout454..... Stock??

@greenfruitface Well you do know that those 7-8 inch wide polly glass tires didnt help in the traction department. 500ish yes. But there are the 1968 Cuda SS and Darts that were sold and they ran low 11's and high 10's back in the day (they sold them at select dealership) and today they are running in the low 9's. The estimated factory power out of those are in the 650ish range on pump gas. Of course im not sure all what they did to it.

@middsteve Yup Im sure. Had it dynoed at a few other places as well. Always within 10hp and torque.

@Boredout454 ...490? Are you sure? I worked at Chrysler dealership that sold "super tuneups" ,hotter coil,better wires,reworked dist.,blocked off heat crossover ,etc. We also had a Clayton chassis dyno to check our work,and help trouble shoot customers cars, The best we EVER got out of a 6bbl was 420hp and 505hp out of a Hemi. and this was on 103 octane gas.

@2bad440 Stock 6bbls came with hydraulics .

@F6HemiCharger: Let me guess, you saw that on TV, right? There is NO WAY a stock Hemi makes that much power.If so, A stock Hemi car should run in the 11s. My original 440-6 '70 Cuda will run very high 12's, and it's stock. A good buddy of mine has a '70 Hemicuda, stock but freshened (& very mild cam) and he runs very high 12's also. I love Hemis, but come on. It's just not true. Maybe 500-ish, stock, that's it.

i love road runners

Hey Guy's, we just bought another one of these Very Rare Road Runners. Registered,, matching numbers, factory 4 speed, and Beautiful! For more info call Jeff Whitaker 410-562-9319

N-I-C-E !!!!!

446Roadrunner did you know a stock 426 hemi does 620 bhp @ 6000 rpm?

If i could choose any car in the world, it would be a 68 or a 69 plymouth roadrunner. It is my favorite car of all times. Its my dream to restor one.
