most of us have respect for all combustion engines,and ive had a few 4 cyl engines myself 22r toyota reliable gm quad 4 the new ford and gm 4 cyl engines are insane also the buick 3.8 ltr they have gotten close to 7s if not but when you ride in a 1200hp twin turbo ls1 on the street and can drive it every day its completely different i thought my 450hp 383 nova was cool with these kids today thats mild,lol there is also a v8 toyota indy engine on dyno 18,000rpm yes 18,000 ! youtube vid

Sure, just click my user name and you'll see the 7.41, alot of mid 7s and even 7.8s to 7.9s in a full bodied 240z with the same motor :-) Unlike some (not you), I don't talk crap on youtube, I can back up all my comments.

I was never knocking the car in this video, just the comments made by MPRdrummer. In a full bodied 240z street car with the same "pos" 182ci motor we ran 7.86 @ 177mph so plenty of power/torque there, check my vids to confirm. Your right the big V8s with turbo's are awesome, I just think some guys need to have a little respect for just how good the smaller jap engines can be, just my opinion though.

that pos 182ci is not pushing a full body around either.. also look at the turbo-blower V8s that will rip your little sling shot to shreads the car in the vid has no forced induction..pull your head out of your ass !

Who said anything about 4 cylinder? There's a big world out there man, life does not revolve around your neck of the woods, massive V8s and cuddling on the couch with your sister, Most people with any real knowledge of cars and engines could at least respect 1300-1500hp reliable street cars wether they be jap or Yank, will you ever see past your porch? I'd be happy to race you in my Rice anytime, heck I'll even give you a 2 second head start!!! And, yes, I can back up my talk with proof.

i hate japanese with all my heart along with every other REAL RACER we all look down on this new fab thats hit the street and laugh becasue we all know a cylinder engine isnt fats especially with the stupid wings that arent gonna help in at all because its not even gonna get close to the speeds that will lift it off the ground not to mention body kits what the hell does that do besides add weight to your all ready struggling engine then we move to the engine WTF? a 4cyl? come on=/

7.41 was on the 1/4, not the 1/8th, best on the 1/8th is 4.6 with a 180 cubic inch fully water cooled street motor, and btw, it still has a stock nissan block and crank, try that with a 25 year old stock chevy passenger car block and crank :-) Each to their own and as long as your happy thats all that matters, it'd just be good if you could respect others doing well with what they chose and not putting out a blanket statement that all imports are crap.

i my fastest was a 5.98 and that was because conditions were perfect and my traction was perfect normally i run the 6.20's

bigger is still better why would professional drag racers use large v8's like mine for no reason 2 things torque and speed they spend over 200,00 dollars on those simple looking drag racers if they got that kind of cash then they obviously want the best motor they can get get it through your heads that a bigger engine will out run a smaller engine especially when the designers of it created it big for a reason japanese is hardly reliable the most reliable is korean built

Your right these engines were designed when gas was 5c a gallon and time moves on man, its not 1960 any more, they might sound nice and you may think bigger is always better but we can run 7.40s with a super reliable 180ci jap street engine and easily claim records off the old school V8 boys in the same class. Maybe YOU could appreciate that you don't HAVE to have a massive Yankie V8 to do well at the strip. maybe your the pig headed one who can't see past the pushrods?

the bigger you engine the faster your gonna go understand that and stop being a pig headed ricer with one excuse saying you get better mpg understand these engien were designed back when gas was 5cents a gallon and noboddy saw the economy about to take a shit these engines were designed for 3 things horse power low end torque and speed the reason they are heavy is the size of that engine in a light car the back ends gonna swing every which way when floored heavy stay put

I know why they eat so much gas, cause there inefficient dinosaur motors!! hp per cube you big ole yanky V8 guys are so far behind the jap motors its a joke, I run 7.40s on the 1/4 with a 182ci 6 cylinder AND its cheap on gas, go figure??

its a nice car i bet real fast too but its not what i expected i wanted to see it go thorugh the gears :(
