Description: here is an action shot of the Z getting on the entrance ramp. I nailed it around 4000 rpm and grannyshifted into 2nd at 7500 rpm. i did a 7800 rpm powershift earlier in the day and the Biasply tires took us sideways a little, so i wasn't going to try that with my wife and son in the car :D

I have 4.10s with a wide ratio Muncie.. its a great strip combo

I had that cam in my 69 back in the early 70's its a wild ride . Your car sounds awesome. What gear ratio do you have ? I had 4:88's, they seemed alot more reasonable back then. lol Sweet ride!

@aaronz28camaro is there anything to watch out for when you get your compression up around 11:1, or does the right octane solve the detonation problem? im thinking about improving mine from 8.5 to about 10.7:1

sounds like 1969 V8 VTECH lol...badass

I'll be looking forward to that!

not yet. lol.. this spring i will get a few more with the tachneedle pointing down LOL

Thats awesome man, do you have any more video's of you running it hard?

yes, all the Z28 cams...or any GM Special High Performance Cams that came in Chevy's were Solid... the original Zcam is a 30-30 grind which is huge, and the same cam in the 64-65 SHP and Fuel INjection Corvettes... the Lt1 cam which was the 1970 Z28 Cam is considerably tamer, but still a great cam and it too is solid. Depending on the application, there are only 3 camshafts i'd ever run in a street car... the 30-30, LT1, or the140 Offroad (which I have in my Z now)

Good god, thats incredible. I assume you are running the solid lift cam?

The cam duration is 259-267 at .050 with 493-512 lift on a 112 LSA... a very very wild camshaft to say the least. Compression is 11.0 to 1, and it runs great on 93-94 Octane Fuel. I have timing at 38 full advance by 2800rpm. The plugs are old AC 45 and the carb is jetted a bit on the rich side to accomodate that much cam... plugs stay clean, and car runs like crazy.

Every time my dad watches this he tells me how much he misses his two 1969 Z/28s. Those are one hell of a car. I have to ask, What is the lift and duration of that cam? and have you dialed the timing back any(It of course doesn't seem like it) Or are you running race gas?

Sounds gorgeous. Love the kid at the end!

what r the srecs on that camshaft please

What valve springs are you running to handle that rpm? Still using the stock heads? Very nice car, love the color and of course the rpms :)

bad ass

Which gears does this one have?

Such a sweet sound....

BADASS Z !

off road cam, wow. First time I've ever seen this.

My dad always said that when your ride hammered the ground, screamed and scared small children then your work was done. Nice ride

Chevy Feel the power!!!!!

The glorious sound of a CHEVY V-8!!

beautiful!

Sounds Awesome!!
