lol 1408 all over again....
Wtf is with Japanese ghosts coming up behind you with their mouth open????
I have seen the movie today (french version) and it's fucking scary !
WATCH IT !!!!
Japanese know how to make 'em fucking horror movies yo.
@sumoni Wow, no need to get into it. this is just me ranting about a crappy movie,OK? (one missed call) and besides, dont you agree that japan made better movies than america? but i do have to agree w/ you in a way: w/out the remakes, the japanese movies would not be praised as much .so the shitty remakes do help the japanese movies get better praise but only to a certain extent. if people only saw the american remake first, then they would assume the original was bad too.and thats not fair =/
@FanOfMe26 Except Scandinavian.. they are as good as Japanese in my opinion
@phobosekt IA so much. I used to be obsessed with asian horror, now I enjoy it, but find it less fascinating then what I used to. I realized it was because the movies were stylized differently. Not because they shit on american movies. Plus I think other countries have an upper hand with horror, since they have the oldest ghost, mythology, and folklore than America. Other than that they're no different.
@LittlexNinja Watch enough japanese movies and you will be able to predict the outcome. The reason American movies can be predictable is because you are used to watching them and the writers know what gets the best audience reaction. The conventions used in Japanese cinema are different to Western ones.
@sumoni
The shining
@FanOfMe26
Debateable. What about [REC]?
Why is it that the Japanese do EVERYTHING better than the english?
@FanOfMe26 only person could disagee is a person with cerebral palsy.. and thats because he probably checked of didnt like by accident... maybe iam horrible xD
@HidingInTheShadows14 To be fair, if it weren't for the fact that the Japanese creators LET the american remakes happen, there wouldn't be any shitty remakes. The Ring 2 & grudge remakes were directed by the japanese directors. If it weren't for them, I don't think it wouldve sparked such a huge interest in the originals.
Everyone is blaming americans for remaking, but the japanese are giving up the rights. All they have to do it say, "No."
@GilliannotGilligan blame the hollywood fatcats who don't believe we have a brain. There are good American horror movies out there. They're just not "mainstream". The 1st Evil Dead movie. The Messengers is an american horror movie directed by The Pang brothers. The 1st nightmare on elm street The original Amityville was excellent. So was the exorcist. The Haunting of Emily Rose. An American Haunting follows subject matter & plot devices similar to most asian horrors. I could go on...
Geez!! Japanese Movies Are SOOOOO SCARY!! When I was watching this trailer my door started to squeak Scary ass shit!..I'm watching it!! LOL
anyone seen this? is it worth watching?
Jap horror films puts Hollywood to shame! Thanxs Japan
honestly Japan's horror movies are WAY better then america's these have more suspense and thrill while you can just about predict what will happen in america's movies.
the remakes are not shitty at all...they're excactly the same as originals only with better actors and language that doesn't sound as if people are constantly yelling and insutling eachother
I agree Asian Horror is better, than Hollywood movies!
Asian Horror, makes there movies interesting and you wanna watch, because its so strange!
@xXxRockinDynoxXx Because unlike us Americans, MANY Asian films don't rely on gore, blood and nudity. Even though they do pop up every so often, most of the movie is anticipation and psychological suspense. They actually have a story other than "Blood, blood, titties, titties, blood" like we do. I am perfectly comfortable with putting my hand up and admitting that Americans have a VERY hard time making a horror film that evens out with gore and psychological writing as well as Asian movies.
@gabe0083 u ever heard of America ripped it off of them JUST like we did with The ring, MIRRORS Shutter and a millions other. get over urself
I loved that movie!!! It was so cool :O how come Japanese movies are always scarier than American made movies o__o
@CrazyforCookies i never said that this was a remake of 1408. i've actually seen that movie and i wasnt too thrilled about it. im just saying that american remakes in general are never as good as the original from other countries. besides, when was the last time you ever saw that the remake was better than the original? (now you will spend your time looking for movies - -; )
@kisaura Yeah, the 1408 movie was based off of Stephen King's short story which came before this Japanese film |
