the 540i with the face lift looks more like an m5 they even come with the same fog lights

the one thats high on price is the e34, not e39 540i M version wich is basicly an m5 with a torquier engine

Well it's a BMW which means a damn nice car.

The 540i has 282hp. and 310 ft lbs of torque. The M sport package come with more than just M logos . It had torque converters (which make a huge differnce) , as well as sport suspension. But I do agree the M5 is the LAW.

i own one as well.... yet to take it to 6 speed you sure?? then again i never go over 100

close, the 540i has a 286hp engine, but you are right on the M5. The 540i m-sport is a 540i with a bigger breaks, a front chin spoiler, a rear chin spoiler, M wheels, and an M steering wheel. Peolpe try to sell them high thinking they are special versions, but shop for one and you'll come across more m-sport packages than just a 540i.

No its not. The 540 i sport is a 6 speed . I own one and i love it

yeah but when people sell it they say it includes the M sport package but in reality the car just has some M mods like the steering wheel and stuff....the BMW M5 it's another think, it has a 400hp v8 engine...vs 200hp of 540i
