@InformationPollution It seems unbelievable right? However, many people bought stocks from similar sales guys in similar boiler rooms esp. at the peak of the market ('98-'99). After losing like 40K one guy sent a threatening fax to his "broker" stating that he was going to kill him. The next day, the same broker sold the same guy more stock.

this is hardly a brilliant sales call. The tactics that Chronicles of Riddick uses are bush league to the extreme.

hahah, I actually received such a sales call from some 'Brentwood group' company, trying to push me to buy ALKS stock, a company that supposedly invented a pill that treats alcoholics.... only idiots would believe such sales pitch, I remember he was saying 'I work here and make over $1million per year' sure they were, mpahahah, this movie is very realistic, people are naive! even Phd holders don't have street savvy
