this song couldn't have been sung better by anybody than YESDAS...he is the best....

Song is so pure, actors r so natural and everything makes it so perfect. Listening to such songs makes us sad that we are losing our beautiful villages because of social and political problems. Will future generations know innocence of village life, the beauty of growing up in midst of nature, plucking fruits from trees etc. ?Yesudas voice echoes such pristine life and lyrics are integral part of this beauty.

Just wonedring..is this song's tune nased on Assamese Bihu (or some other North Eastern folk) tune ? When I listen this song and close my eyes, I feel as if I am at the foothills of the Himalayas or some blue mountain with lush green orchard and tea estate at the foothills..

Yesudas is one of the greatest as far as melodies and carnatic music are concerned. No wonder that he is reckoned as "Gaana Gandharvan" in his home state, Kerala( God of Music).

This is one of the Best by Dr.K.J.Yesudas, Still remember the old good Childhood days. I think K.J.Y lives in Chicago now U.S.A. He often comes to do the Recording or they send the Track to him for Singing. Excellent Song and Music. His vioce cannot be matched by any one alive in Indian Music. That is why he is Still the First choice for many Directors. Going on in his 70's now.
