Description: In this BBC special "James May on the Moon", James May from Top Gear U.K. is taken on an emotional ride to the edge of space in a U-2 spyplane. The score is "Flight" by Ty Unwin which wasn't available separately last time I checked. I took this version from the Patricks Aviation file sharing site - well worth a look. http://www.patricksaviation.com/

WOW WOW I want to be on his place and fly too!!!

im that man on the moon.

@liconking he did it in the new bugatti supersport , and reached 417, the bugatti test driver reached 431 km/h (287 mp/h)

@LordTyrannus Oh I know that. I believe what he said about how it is on a different level. Really awesome. Thank you for the video.

@silverpizza100 worth it!

@UBERxL33T Well, it could help someone, or people realize that we live on a beautiful and wonderful planet and we should try to cut back on destroying it by pumping CO2 into the atmosphere..as far as religion goes some might rekindle their faith in a god by witnessing the event, while others might lose it all together.

just beautiful .. it's no word that can describe this

I can't believe my eyes. This is so cool and astonighing. I like James' final remarks. So true.

@LordTyrannus how would it?

@LordTyrannus Exactly.

@THFCWeHateArsenal Well..james may did say that a flight like that would alter our views on politics, religion, ect..

Beautiful... Just beautiful. One of my life long goals.. Go to space

cramp and cold

Iv watched this a few times now and it never fails to impress me. I would love the opportunity to do this.

Anyone know the price of renting a U-2 spy plane ?

absolutely astonishing to quote jezza

@lcozzarelli Glad we're all staying on topic here. Religion versus Science debates are so very relevant to the video we're watching.

Beautiful. I'm glad other people get to do this stuff so I can live vicariously through them.

@Anonymous1885 Yes, but at least science is constantly questioning itself... testing, retesting and checking the obtained evidence for consistency in order to refine its theories in its quest for the ultimate truth. Religion never questions itself. It is a blind, dogmatic acceptance of some stories that were written years after many of the subjects of those stories were dead. In that way, religion and science--faith vs. reason--are completely different.

He sounds genuinly(?) taken and impressed.. great clip

top gear goes on and on about how bad america is, but whose u2 spy plane did captain fly in... the americans

@marsbound2024 i say 5000$ per person and it will prob only be for like 1 hour or 2

He's so lucky....... That was funny when there was an itch on his nose
