easy, different companies. films were town and district, and the programme was luxton and district. sneaky, but thats how they did it. the programmes used few real buses, loddeka's, and a fake one i do believe. these were from eastern national. the films though, buses came in the form of bristolk k's. these were also eastern national and one of thoses used in the filming is still in existance i do believe (VNO 857). but the point is, they were painted red, and then leased from eastern national.
