This man is a genius! I would have loved to be there and give some coins to him, jeje.

hahahaha dope shit ive been obsessed with this movie ever since i saw it.

This is the best! I loved Tideland!

"The Fisher King" was Giliam's forced reconciliation with Hollywood after clashing with the big studios over "Brazil" which resulted in sabotage and bad press for "Münchhausen". "The Fisher King" had no Gilliamesque story but it had the Gilliamesque look. "Brothers Grimm" was pretty much the opposite to "The Fisher King", Gilliamesque story but no Gilliam look.

With "Brothers Grimm" and "Tideland", it felt like, doesn't his budget cover those marvelous wide lenses anymore? A true Gilliam is defined by stunning visuals and supernatural and/or sci-fi events. "Brothers Grimm" had no stunning visuals (and an exceptionally shitty translation where I am, shoulda hired Schühly as producer again for a better one), and "Tideland" seemed to have nothing at all.

I woulda felt cheated if he'd spent my money on "Jabberwocky", "Brothers Grimm", maybe "The Fisher King", and most especially "Tideland". But for any of his other films ("Time Bandits", "Brazil", "The Adventures of Baron Münchhausen", "12 monkeys", "Fear & loathing in Las Vegas"), I woulda given him every single cent I'd be happening to have on me the moment he'd approach me like that. "Dr. Parnassus" looks promising enough so far, like a new "Münchhausen".

"We have lumps of it around the ba--ck!"

I would have been proud to give him money! I wish I would have been there!

Haha poor Terry. Too bad Tideland wasn't a success. Awesome vid though.

$25 an hour. Haha.

Hahaha. God I love you Gilliam...

The Gilliam film "The Fisher King" is one of my to 5 (films) of all time! I love that man!!

I love Terry but I know why the studio would not promote the film after I saw it.
